Parenthood looks good on Mae Whitman and Carlos Valdes .

While the actress and her partner— parents to son Miles , 14 months—keep much of their relationship private, she recently shared a glimpse inside their new chapter together.

"We went to a wedding," the 37-year-old—who wore a black, long sleeve sequined dress—captioned her Oct. 27 Instagram post, "and unfortunately for you I am your grandmother and I just discovered photo shop."

Mae included doctored pics depicting her and Carlos—who was dressed in a brown suit and printed tie—standing at the gates of "Hell," as well as images showing herself next to a reindeer, nude sculptures, a dachshund and giant meerkats.
