EAST BOSTON, Mass. —
Air traffic controllers handed out leaflets at Boston's Logan International Airport on Tuesday to mark the first zero paycheck since the start of the government shutdown.
"Safety is nonpartisan. We're just interested in the government being funded. Government shutdown, closing workers getting paid," National Air Traffic Controllers Association New England Regional Vice President Kevin Curtiss said.
Members of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association said they’re trying to educate the public about the impacts the shutdown is having on their industry.
