A 22-year-old Afghan national has been arrested over a triple stabbing which left a man dead in Uxbridge, west London, the Metropolitan Police said.

The force and London Ambulance Service were called to Midhurst Gardens at 5pm on Monday following reports that three people had been attacked. A 49-year-old man, not yet named, was treated at the scene for stab wounds but despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he died at the scene. His family are being supported by specially-trained officers.

A 45-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were also treated at the scene for stab wounds before being taken to hospital. The man’s injuries were confirmed to be life-changing, but not life-threatening. The boy’s injuries were confirmed to be neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
