None of the nine golfers from the Coachella Valley in the field advanced Monday out of a CIF-Southern Section individual preliminary tournament, but most will move on to CIF-SS postseason play with their teams.

Only the top 24 of the 114 players in the event at breezy Bear Valley Country Club in Victorville move onto the CIF-SS individual finals Nov. 6 at Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula. The best score by a Coachella Valley golfer in the event was a 7-over 79 by La Quinta senior Joanna Bushnell Crist, tied for 31 st and three shots off a qualifying spot.
