COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A second Democrat is officially entering the race for South Carolina governor.
South Carolina state Rep. Jermaine Johnson, who represents both Richland and Kershaw counties in District 52, formally launched his campaign on Tuesday. He’s now the second Democrat to enter the field, with Mullins McLeod announcing his campaign in August.
In his announcement, Johnson’s campaign states it will be centered on “faith, family, and the belief that every new beginning can lead to a brighter day.”
