(KWQC) - John Morrow taught martial arts in the Quad Cities for about 50 years. He passed away from cancer on October 15, but his legacy still lives on in all the students’ lives he touched.
One of his students, Evin Ersan , met Morrow when he was only six years old. Over the years, as Evin trained in the dojo, Morrow became much more than a teacher — he became a mentor and a father figure.
To honor him, Evin started the “100 Days of Morrow” challenge, where he’s doing 100 push-ups every day for 100 days — a tribute to the kind of discipline and dedication Morrow taught.
“He was a man of no excuses,” Evin said. “He would say, stop crying over my death, get up and do your push-ups, and live a good life.”
John Morrow was known for his challenges — he broke a Guinness World Record b
