In the wake of Cyclone Montha’s impact across southern Odisha, the Odisha Fire & Emergency Services have launched a series of rapid-response operations to mitigate damage and restore public safety.
From tree-cutting in Gajapati and Koraput to rooftop clearance in Nandapur and dewatering in Puri and Bhubaneswar, fire personnel have been working round-the-clock to address cyclone-related disruptions.
Key interventions include:
Mahendragada (Gajapati): Tree cutting near GP office by R. Udaygiri Fire Station.
Rani Duduma Road (Koraput): Road clearance by Nandapur Fire Station.
Berhampur Railway Station Road: Fallen trees removed to restore access.
Bhandari Sahi (Koraput): Rooftop tree removal to prevent structural damage.
Banka Sahi (Ganjam): Tree cutting by Chikiti Fire Station.
