OXFORD, Miss. (WMC) - Lindsey Whiteside appeared in federal court on Tuesday for a detention hearing following her latest indictment.
Whiteside, a former youth pastor and assistant girls’ basketball coach at DeSoto Central High School, was federally indicted on October 23 for transporting a minor across state lines for sexual purposes and coercion of a minor.
She has pleaded not-guilty to both counts.
A judge ruled Tuesday she must stay in her house 24/7 and gave her a $60,000 unsecured bond, meaning she would only have to pay if she violates her home incarceration conditions.
Bail conditions include no contact with children under 18. She also cannot go beyond the front yard of her home.
But federal prosecutors requested a stay of the ruling while they determine whether to appeal. W
