A top Canadian official is declaring victory after President Donald Trump had a meltdown over a new tariff advertisement last week.

Trump abruptly terminated “all trade negotiations” with Canada last Thursday after he bashed an ad from the Ontario government that featured the voice of former President Ronald Reagan speaking out against U.S. tariffs. Trump described the video as “fake” and accused Canada of “fraud.”

Trump also announced that he was adding an additional 10% tariff on Canadian imports in the wake of the ad. CNN host Jake Tapper asked Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Monday whether the 10% tariff is part of the “success” of the campaign.
