Mumbai, Oct 28: Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday announced that India will host the inaugural edition of Mumbai Climate Week (MCW) in February 2026, positioning Mumbai as a key hub for climate dialogue and action in the Global South.

“Mumbai Climate Week will be a global platform for developing nations to collaborate, share knowledge, and drive real-world solutions to climate challenges,” Fadnavis said, unveiling the event’s vision.

Over 30 countries are expected to participate in the week-long event, which will bring together city leaders, state governments, corporate innovators, civil society groups, and youth to co-create a practical climate action plan.
