Peoria Unified governing board is updating its policy regarding employee code of conduct.
Proposed language addresses employees’ status as role models and the prohibition of recording students for non-educational reasons during the school day and posting on personal social media.
The proposed policy states all district employees are expected to maintain high standards in their school relationships that must be “idealistic and at the same time practical, so that they can apply reasonably to all staff members.”
Every employee assumes responsibility for providing leadership in the school and community, according to new language.
