Senior Border Patrol chief Gregory Bovino must appear in federal court daily to report on immigration enforcement operations in Chicago.
That order came Tuesday after Bovino testified before federal Judge Sara Ellis on questions surrounding the use of chemical agents by immigration enforcement officers in the city and suburbs.
Bovino, a chief of the Border Patrol sector in El Centro, California, was recorded on video throwing a cannister of tear gas Thursday during a clash between agents and protesters in the Little Village neighborhood.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said Bovino was struck in the head by an object prior to the recorded incident, but it still raised questions about the tactics of officers after Ellis had issued a temporary restraining order aimed at
