A brand of Korean pork jerky sold at Costco stores is being recalled due to possible metal contamination.
The Golden Island brand Korean Barbeque Recipe Fire-grilled Pork Jerky sold at Costco warehouses and online is being recalled by its manufacturer.
The recall is for the 410 gram plastic pouches with a UPC code of 0 17082 01049 0 and a one-year shelf life up until the fall of 2026.
Manufacturer LSI Inc. is voluntarily recalling the product due to the possible presence of metal, said Costco in an email Monday to its members.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency also published the countrywide recall on its site Monday, asking anyone who purchased the item not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.
