Throughout his life, Chagrin Falls resident Rob Platt has never lost sight of how fortunate he was to grow up with two loving parents — a gift not everyone receives. Inspired by that blessing, Platt chose to devote his career to supporting nonprofits that serve those in need, especially children.
Platt, 61, was born and raised in Shaker Heights and grew up a congregant of the former Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple in Beachwood.
Now, he will have a chance to continue to make an impact as he started his new role as development director of the Midwest region of ORT America on Oct. 16.
“It’s very exciting,” Platt told the Cleveland Jewish News. “When ORT approached me and I started learning more about how many people they affect in the world, (and) for me, personally, that’s hugely important.
