ST. JAMES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The man accused in the 2024 shooting that killed a Lutcher man and wounded another, has been indicted.
On Friday, Oct. 24, 28-year-old Kendrick Kendall Armant was indicted by a St. James Parish grand jury on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first degree murder, involving the death of 19-year-old Makhai Ramon Martin.
Court documents state that around 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2024, St. James Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the scene of a shooting in the 2100 block of Highway 44.
Deputies were told that a man was enroute to the hospital while a second person alerted them of a second man shot in the area.
