BRENTWOOD — Vincenzo Panetta, the first of two suspects to face trial in connection with the fatal fall of 28-year-old Rochester resident Zachary Colbroth from a Portsmouth parking garage, is awaiting a verdict.
Closing arguments in Panetta's case were heard the morning of Oct. 28 in Rockingham County Superior Court. The jury began deliberations around midday.
Panetta and Andrew Lucas, both 26, are charged with negligent homicide and assault. They are accused of beating Colbroth on the street in August 2023 after leaving the bar at Portsmouth Gas Light Co., before Colbroth entered the High-Hanover parking garage.
