TERRY — A Jackson man was arrested Monday night in Terry after police said they found him with drugs, cash and a rifle.

According to Terry Police Chief Anthony Moore, officers arrested 23-year-old Jaylon M. Sykes around 8:30 p.m. on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

An AR-15 rifle and more than $900 in cash were recovered during the arrest, police said. Sykes was also allegedly found with more than 60 grams of marijuana.

Sykes is scheduled to appear before a judge in Terry Municipal Court on Tuesday.
