Adelaide’s dining scene is set for a major new addition with Modachau, a multimillion-dollar restaurant and bar set to rise on Churchill Road. The contemporary two-storey venue is expected to open in 2026 and promises to reimagine modern Asian dining in South Australia.
The project is the latest from siblings Thy, Phong and Quan Nguyen, the powerhouse trio behind Ong Vietnamese Kitchen, Lemongrass, Noi Vietnamese Eatery, Shibui Dessert Bar, Shmochi by Shibui, and Devour Café. Having already helped define Adelaide’s modern dining culture, the Nguyen family are now setting their sights on their most ambitious project yet.
