Renault India, on Tuesday, confirmed the return of its popular SUV, the Duster, to the Indian market. The company announced that the upcoming model will revive the iconic nameplate and mark a new phase in its India operations.
Originally launched in 2012, the Renault Duster helped shape India’s compact SUV segment, which now accounts for nearly one-fourth of the passenger vehicle market. The SUV is making a comeback after four years since the previous model was discontinued in the country.
The new Duster will be the first product introduced under Renault’s “International Game Plan 2027” and a key part of its India-focused transformation strategy, "renault. rethink."
Following its India entry, the model will compete with popular mid-size SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota
