JASPER COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) - A truck hauling monkeys to a testing facility in Florida overturned in Jasper County on October 28, 2025.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred just north of Heidelberg. They said several monkeys are on the loose.

Officials said the monkeys pose potential health threats and are aggressive. Neighbors should not approach the monkeys, and if they see one, they should call 911.
