A Brit has been hospitalised in Spain after allegedly being stabbed with a screwdriver by a stranger when he refused to hand over a cigarette .
The victim, identified as Scottish by the police, suffered a punctured lung in the alleged attack, which occurred in Plaza de Ayuntamiento in the heart of Valencia just before 4am on Saturday. A 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene in relation to the incident , local reports suggest.
