The last few months have been busy for Dunes Properties , which closed the second-highest sales ever recorded on both Sullivan’s Island and Mount Pleasant.

Both transactions shared the commonality of one couple, who sold one property and snatched up the next.

The property at 2407 Atlantic Ave. on Sullivan’s Island sold for $13 million on Oct. 14 to Peter Whitehouse and Lisa Mancini, according to county records. Buyers’ agent Brian Mello said the house is hands-down one of the “most magnificent” he’s seen in his 20 years of selling in the Charleston area.

“It was probably one of my top five as far as finishes and quality of construction,” said real estate firm’s broker in charge.
