A 36-year-old man from Akwesasne is facing 14 charges as part of the Cornwall police’s multi-agency Project Fester investigation into the trafficking of drugs and firearms within the city.
The investigation began in September 2024, with the support of the OPP Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU), and other police services. Police say investigators alleged there are two criminal networks in operation; one trafficking illicit substances in Cornwall, and the other trafficking firearms in Ottawa and Akwesasne.
