LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The East Lansing Police Department has confirmed that the autopsy of Meagan Turner, 32, a doctoral candidate from Canada studying at Michigan State University, has been completed.
Police also confirmed that Turner was reported missing before her remains were found and said that they are now awaiting toxicology reports before sharing any additional updates on the investigation.
At this time, investigators do not believe foul play was involved in her death. The Ingham County Medical Examiner’s Office reports that it may take several weeks before toxicology results are available.
“ELPD will continue to investigate all options and leads in this case, but we do not have reason at this point to believe there is an ongoing risk to public safety,” said East Lansing Polic
