MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) - A North Carolina car salesman said he was "excited as a banjo" after he won $100,000 from a scratch-off ticket.
According to North Carolina Education Lottery officials, Gary McNeely, a car salesman living in McDowell County claimed the prize on Tuesday. He won the $100,000 on a Millionaire Bucks scratch-off ticket .
“It tickled me to death,” McNeely recalled. “I’ve never won anything like that before.”
McNeely bought the winning ticket at the M&M Mart on North Main Street in Marion.
After taxes, McNeely took home $71,758. He told lottery officials he plans to use the money to do some work around his house.
