WILMINGTON ISLAND, Ga. (WSAV) — Police have taken a person of interest in the stabbing death of a 59-year-old woman into custody, officials announced Tuesday.
The woman was found dead after Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) officers were dispatched to an apartment building in the 100 block of Oyster Shell Road around 5 p.m.
She appeared to have died due to stab wounds, a CCPD spokesperson said.
