Yellowstone National Park officials announced Tuesday that all park roads that were closed due to winter weather this weekend are open to vehicles.
On Sunday, park officials responded to more than 30 vehicle accidents due to snowy and icy conditions.
The visitor season is rapidly winding down, and most roads within the park will close on Oct. 31, and the West, South and East entrances to the park will close to regular traffic on Nov. 1. The road between Tower Fall and Canyon Village is already closed for the season.
During the winter, visitors can access the park via snowmobile and snowcoach travel, which begins Dec. 15.
The only roads open year-round are between the North Entrance in Gardiner, Montana, and the Northeast Entrance in Cooke City/Silver Gate, Montana For up-to-date in
