WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. - Yellowstone National Park has reopened a majority of its roads after closing for hazardous winter conditions and numerous car crashes on Monday.
The road between Tower Fall and Canyon Village (Dunraven Pass) will remain closed until next season.
The last day for visitors to drive through Yellowstone National Park will be October 31, when all roads close for the rest of the season.
"The park annually closes roads at this time of year to prepare them for the winter season and snowmobile and snowcoach travel, which will begin Dec. 15," the National Park Service said in a press release.
The only roads that stay open year-round inside the park are between the North Entrance in Gardiner and the Northeast entrance in Cooke City via Mammoth Hot Springs, Tower Junctio
