A Chambersburg teen who left for school and never returned home remains missing, police confirmed on Tuesday night, Oct. 28.

The Chambersburg Police Department initially reported that Jada Payne departed her home on Edgelea Drive to attend Chambersburg High School on Thursday, Aug. 28. However, police clarified to Daily Voice on Tuesday night, Oct. 28, that Jada was actually last seen on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, not in August.

Jada was spotted at the high school that morning, but did not attend any classes and has not returned home since, authorities said.

The department did not respond to additional questions from Daily Voice regarding Jada’s age, physical description, or what she was last seen wearing.

Investigators continue to seek the public’s help in locating her and urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the Chambersburg Police Department or submit a tip through Crimewatch.
