The Bills have made some defensive changes to the roster ahead of Week 9's game against Kansas City. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver has been placed on IR due to a torn bicep he suffered in Week 8 against Carolina.
Safety Jordan Poyer and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips have been signed from the practice squad to the active roster.
Head coach Sean McDermott announced Oliver's status on Monday.
"He'll get surgery," McDermott said of Oliver. "He'll be out indefinitely."
Oliver had the injury bug earlier in the season as well. Prior to the bicep injury, the DT missed four games due to an ankle injury.
"(A) tough loss," McDermott said. "Ed's a really good player. He's missed some time this year. That's been unfortunate. And then (we were) just getting him back…We'll miss having him."
