FOREST HILLS, Queens (PIX11) --- A 26-year-old bicyclist died after he rammed into a car door while the driver was getting out of the vehicle at a Queens intersection Monday, police said.

The collision happened at 108th Street and 38th Avenue in Forest Hills at around 6:40 p.m.

Investigators said a 25-year-old man was getting out of a parked BMW 3201 when the bicyclist, Cristian Villafuerte Vazquez, crashed into the car door.

Vazquez suffered severe head injuries and died at the hospital, police said.

The BMW driver stayed at the scene and was not injured.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
