LINCOLNTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- The people were arrested Monday on methamphetamine trafficking charges in Lincoln County.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the Narcotics Unit had received information on a location in the western part of the county where those living there were suspected to be selling narcotics.
During the operation, officers followed a vehicle from the location and made a stop after a reported vehicle traffic violation. During the stop, officers say the people inside the vehicle began throwing narcotics out onto the road.
After the vehicle came to a stop, all three subjects were taken into custody. The sheriff says LCSO Narcotics Officers were allegedly able to recover 15 grams of methamphetamine from the road and an additional 20 grams from inside
