GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- A Marion man has been arrested after allegedly sending sexually explicit messages to an individual he believed was a 13-year-old girl. The recipient was actually part of a predator decoy group posing as a minor.
On Sunday at around 5:35 p.m., witnesses from a "Catch a Predator" group reported that they had been in communication with a Marion man who believed he was texting a 13-year-old girl on a Facebook dating profile.
The messages were sexual in nature, the man sending unsolicited nude photos, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
Following an investigation, police identified the man as David W. Francis, 38, of Marion.
