SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Monarch Enterprises has unveiled a proposal to construct a new Justice Center for the City of Springfield.
The firm, led by Principal Paul Picknelly, says it will honor the city's history while reinforcing its civic and economic future.
“This project is about designing a courthouse that works for everyone,” the proposal states. “It keeps justice in Springfield’s historic center, supports existing downtown businesses, and builds a civic landmark that reflects the values and pride of this community.”
The development team includes several well-known firms across Massachusetts and New England. The courthouse would be designed by Finegold Alexander Architects of Boston, a nationally recognized, women-owned firm with extensive experience in judicial facilities.
