Fashion designer Georgina Chapman, co-founder of the luxury brand Marchesa and the ex-wife of Harvey Weinstein, is facing foreclosure on her West Village apartment amid multiple lawsuits tied to her business interests.

According to a foreclosure complaint filed earlier this year, Chapman and her brother, Edward Chapman — Marchesa’s CEO — defaulted on a $US2.5 million ($A3.8 million) mortgage secured against that two-bedroom Manhattan condo, the Real Deal first reported.

The lawsuit, obtained by the New Yost Post , claims the siblings stopped making payments on the loan in November 2024, which carried monthly instalments of more than $US9000 ($A13,800).

The suit says they now owe the full principal along with accrued interest and late fees, which totals $US2.5 million ($A3.8 million)
