Residents near Timbergate Drive on Corpus Christi's Southside will continue to deal with construction until its estimated completion in July 2026.
The $4.73 million voter-approved project from Bond 2022 started in April 2025.
The roadway construction originally had motorists going westbound one way but will now have drivers going eastbound one way starting Oct. 29, the city said in a news release.
The ongoing work will provide new asphalt pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and a 5-foot multi-use path. The project includes Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps, related signage, pavement markings and upgraded streetlights.
Motorists traveling through the area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone in order to maintain traffic flow.
