CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Rivanna Solid Waste Authority will be hosting the eighth annual Great Pumpkin Smash at McIntire Recycling Center from Nov. 5-10.

Participants will be able to smash their unwanted pumpkins by dropping them into a large container which will be delivered to a composting facility.
