LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two juveniles have been sentenced more than a year after a 13-year-old was shot and killed in Chickasaw .
The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office revealed Daniel Wallace and Brad Watkins both pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges and were sentenced Tuesday.
Prosecutors say in June 2024, Watkins was armed with a gun and shot Daviawn Blackmon while robbing him. During that incident, Watkins tried to shoot another juvenile. He destroyed and tried the evidence connected to the incident.
Wallace disposed of the clothes the two were wearing when Blackmon was shot and killed.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerina Whethers says the city is facing an epidemic of juveniles committing gun violence.
