FORT MILL, S.C. (WBTV) - The Town of Fort Mill has announced that it is partnering with the school district and state leaders to address school-related traffic concerns in the area.
The town said the new initiative will increase safety around Catawba Ridge High School and Doby’s Bridge Elementary.
The Town of Fort Mill said they’re focusing on South Carolina Route 460 because it’s the area that gets some of the heaviest traffic during school hours.
A temporary traffic signal will be installed at the intersections of Nims Village Drive and SC 460 for 24 months, according to the town. The South Carolina Department of Transportation will also install a signal at the elementary school intersection.
