Here’s what we know about the airship spotted over San Francisco

A massive airship was spotted Tuesday morning over San Francisco.

The airship known as Pathfinder 1 is operated by LTA Research , which said it is studying the possibility of using airships for transportation and cargo.

LTA Research on its website said Pathfinder first took flight in the Bay Area in May when it flew outside of the airspace at Moffett Federal Airfield, where the airship is housed.
