Tuesday marked the grand opening for "Ruth", a brand-new food truck with a fully kosher menu. Located outside the Burlington Chabad, the truck is now able to provide kosher food to Vermonters who didn't have easy access to it. One customer on opening day said he had been waiting years for a kosher business to open in the Queen City.
The owner of the truck, Menchem, says this isn't his first venture into the food truck business. But as he became more observant of his Jewish faith, he realized some of the food on his menus broke his kosher diet. After going back to the drawing board, he was able to open this truck with only kosher options.
