RYEGATE, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Police are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle which left one seriously injured Tuesday, October 28.

Authorities say they responded to the report of a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in East Ryegate at roughly 4:40 p.m. At the Ryegate Road scene, officers learned that the motorcycle operator was traveling south, and collided with a 2021 Ford Transit Connect.

The motorcyclist was then throw from his vehicle into a stopped Western Star TT, according to state police. They were reportedly taken to Cottage Hospital, and later air-lifted to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

This incident closed the roadway for roughly three hours.
