FARGO — The Fargo school board took its first run at possible northside boundary changes, due in part to a new, combined elementary school being built on the site of Horace Mann Elementary.
The board had its first reading of the proposal at its Tuesday, Oct. 28, meeting.
A 110-year-old building, Horace Mann will be demolished next summer to make way for a new elementary school in its place.
The $45 million school at 1025 Third St. N., will combine the student attendance areas of Horace Mann, Roosevelt and Madison elementaries.
The project will be financed by a bond issuance through the district’s building fund, like several southside schools were funded in years past.
