SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Don't let the possible damp Halloween forecast ruin the trick-or-treating fun.
Stay dry on Halloween while still collecting candy at indoor events like Destiny USA's Halloween Spook-A-Thon and Syracuse Crunch's Halloween Spooktacular.
Both events feature a chance for kids to trick-or-treat for sweets, with even more added treats than they'd anticipate.
Destiny USA's free event starts at 5 p.m. and will also include spooky movies and a costume contest.
For $5, kids and parents can purchase a pumpkin for the Pumpkin Chuckin' event. Participants have a chance to "chuck" a pumpkin from the third floor of the mall and watch it fall before smashing down on the first floor.
"It's a nice, safe, dry place to get some of that Halloween-ing done," said Samantha Marra,
