TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Come Saturday, softball state champions will be crowned across classifications in Georgia, as each classes eight team, double elimination state tournament begins in Columbus.
The Thomasville softball team made history last week when they punched their first ever ticket to Columbus. On Tuesday, they got a sendoff they’ve never been able to experience before.
It won’t be easy for the Bulldogs to claim their first state championship, but this team, backed by their community, believes it has what it takes.
“Super proud the school put something together for the girls. It’s well deserved for all the hard work they put in all year long,” said head coach Colby Melton. “I’m not a big fan of things like that, but for the girls, absolutely I enjoyed every bit of it. Curr
