GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grady Augustyn manifested his story, he was always going to be the quarterback at West Catholic High School.

“I used to go, 'Since he’s been able to walk and able to talk, he’s had a football in his hands,'" said Grady's dad, Mark.

A chapter of this story that is much closer to the end than the beginning. 16 years after joining the Augustyn family, his parents Mark and Julie walked Grady out on senior night. It was the culmination of everything that had led them to that moment.

“It was something we always talked about, well before we had any kids. We always knew we wanted to," said Grady's mother Julie.

The process began well before, but following the Haitian earthquake in 2010, the largest natural disaster of the 21st century. Mark and Julie felt a call to help.
