FAYETTE COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - WBRC is learning of new developments in the case of Kahleb Collins, a 1-year-old boy who went missing from Fayette County in 2024, and is now believed to be dead.
The search began in December 2024 when Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies began searching for Kahleb after his parents were involved in a deadly wreck.
According to the sheriff’s office, Steven Collins and his 2-year-old daughter, Ryleigh, were killed when their 2020 Toyota Tacoma left the roadway and struck a tree on the morning of Dec. 8.
The crash, which happened along Fayette County 73, near Morris Cemetery Road, also sent Wendy Bailey, the child’s mother, to the hospital with critical injuries.
