Schenck tallied a team-high four service aces in the No. 1-seeded Nuggets’ 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-10) sweep over No. 5 Frazee in the Minnesota Section 8-2A girls volleyball semifinals at Moorhead High School.
“We worked hard and we played pretty clean,” Schenck said.
The Nuggets tallied 10 aces as a team. Sella Fleming had three, Hannah Stotts added two and Annaka Johnson had one.
“It just creates momentum,” said Hawley head coach Kathleen Rustad of the aces. “You can see their confidence on the endline.”
The Nuggets (28-2) have been ranked No. 1 in Class 2A by the Minnesota Coaches Association poll since the start of the season.
