SCOTT COUNTY, Ind. (WAVE) - A group of neighbors around the Clark State Forest Gun Range in Scott County, Indiana, is sounding the alarm on what they call safety concerns that have not been addressed.

The range is where many people go for target practice, but it’s also surrounded by several horse riding trails and houses.

Neighbors WAVE spoke to wanted to stay anonymous, but said they’re used to finding stray bullets on their properties, or in areas outside of the gun range.

They said there isn’t a manager at the range to regulate activity, and it’s not unusual to hear shots in the middle of the night.

“The forestry signs are shot up, the county road signs are shot up, the county has to replace the stop sign, it seems like, every six months,” one neighbor said. “People are getting care
