ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation held a public meeting to update the community on the proposed project of widening State Route 170.

Leaders recently completed several environmental impact studies, such as traffic analysis, air quality, land use and more. Those studies found there would be minimal impact on the area.

Several dozen people attended the meeting to learn about the plan and have their questions answered.

Tara Allen owns the ReSale Rack Thrift Store on Edgemoor Road. She said she left the meeting with more questions than she walked in with.
